Writinks was founded in 2021 by a small group of graduate tutors who noticed the same problem everywhere: students weren't failing because they were lazy, they were failing because nobody had time to explain things in a way that actually made sense for their course.
Today we work with over 500 vetted tutors and editors across 50+ subjects, all held to the same standard — help the student understand and improve, never replace their work.

Every tutor on Writinks signs an academic-integrity agreement before taking their first session: no drafting content tied to a student's specific assignment, no completing graded assignments, no logging into a student's course portal, no sitting exams on someone else's behalf. What a tutor can do is build a generic structure for the type of assignment, work through an example on a different topic to demonstrate technique, and give feedback on a draft the student wrote themselves. We audit session notes and respond to every student report within 24 hours, and tutors who cross that line are removed from the platform immediately.
We built it this way because the alternative — selling done-for-you submissions — eventually costs students far more than it saves them: a flagged transcript, a revoked credential, or in fields like nursing, a license earned without the underlying competence to back it up.
